What do I need to get started? Questions
Hawkeye Wireless requires a clear radio frequency line-of-sight to our
transmission tower in order to work properly. We start every installation with a
free site survey to determine if you have a suitable location to mount your
antenna. We will sell you a kit that includes the antenna, low-loss cable,
lightening arrestor, and card or adapter. You are responsible for providing
electricity and the ground wire and a suitable locations for an antenna
mount.
What equipment will I need and what does it cost? You will need our
Hawkeye Wireless kit includes an antenna, cable and radio. You will also need to
erect a suitable antenna mast and provide electricity and a ground wire. The kit
is designed to plug directly into your PC or Server. For office use Hawkeye
Wireless will sell a router that will allow multi-users to use one internet
connection.

We can give a Static IP's , and DNS, however, there will be a cost to
this feature per/mth. The user will be given a domain user.hawkeyewireless.net

Yes, unlike DSL and Cable modems where the transfer rate change's from
upload and download.
Does weather (rain, snow) affect reception in any way,
like it does with some microwave wireless solutions? Questions
In a heavy rain attenuation may be caused at the ratio of .02 dB/mile
. Snow and ice have negligible attenuation. To sum up the weather
effects on our system, there will be unnoticeable loss or none at all.
