2005-06 TRV/WBM Season Outlook

Coach Alex Brandenburg begins his second season leading the Thunder program. The squad returns 11 letterwinners to a squad that went 19-4 in duals in 04-05. Twenty-five wrestlers have reported this season, including Jordan Hasenkamp (3^rd-state), Mark Cirks (state qual), Cody Benjamin (state qual), and Ashton Wagner (district qual). 

The 2004-05 had a 10 win improvement from the previous season (9-13), won the conference dual title, and Graettinger Tourney. They finished second in the Hugh Linn Invite, Garner Duals, Schaller Duals, Laurens Tourney, sectionals, and districts. Returning starters include: Nick Sewell @ 119, Jordan Hasenkamp @ 125, Jon Behounek @ 130, Mark Cirks @ 140, Kris Messner @ 152, Cody Benjamin @ 160, Adam Jergens @ 171, Ashton Wagner @ 189, and Matt Thilges @ 189.
